DroidGuard is an Android app developed by Droidguard Dev (Taipei City 114, Taiwan (R.O.C)).

DroidGuard first became available on 27 Jan 2014. It is estimated that DroidGuard has been downloaded between 50000 and 100000 times from the Play Store.

DroidGuard 1.0.25 requires the following permissions:

Allows applications to access information about networks.

Required to be able to access the camera device.

Allows an application to modify the current configuration, such as locale.

Allows access to the list of accounts in the Accounts Service.

Allows applications to open network sockets.

Allows an application to read from external storage.

Allows an application to record audio.

Allows an app to create windows using the type TYPE_SYSTEM_ALERT, shown on top of all other apps. Very few apps should use this permission; these windows are intended for system-level interaction with the user.

Allows access to the vibrator.

Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.

Allows an application to write to external storage.

Allows an application to read or write the system settings.
